I love when REI has a sale, and this one is coming right on time for some big trips I have planned. After perusing what’s on sale, I’ve gathered my favorite gear that (I think) is totally worth checking out. There are a couple item’s I’m most definitely ‘adding to cart’ (hello REI’s Co-op Flash 55 Pack and Rumpl blanket). This sale is good time to grab those items that might have been on your wishlist for awhile. I’m hiking Half Dome in just a few weeks, and I can’t wait to level up some of my gear. This is at the top of my wishlist and something I’m definitely buying while it’s on sale. Regular $199, this will be $139 with the discount—saving nearly $60! As my Half Dome hiking trip nears, this is the pack I’ll be bringing. I did a lot of research on which backpacking pack would be the best investment for my needs, but also not necessarily break the bank, and I one I can use (and rely on) on future trips. This one came highly recommended by one of my favorite outdoorsy YouTuber, Justin Outdoors.
Also, I recently found out you can get sized for the right backpack at REI. The employees there are so helpful! I got sized for a small when I thought I’d be more of a medium/large! Glad I waited to get sized (and for this sale) to make this purchase.

CamelBak Packs, Reservoirs, Bottles & Accessories
I’ve always been a loyal CamelBak customer. It started with a love of their water bottles, and now it’s the hydration pack and reservoir/bladder I’ve sworn by for years. Their packs have never failed me and I might have an emotional attachment to my first CamelBak that I used on my first big hike in the Grand Canyon. It made it through 10 years of hikes, getting faded and adoringly worn. There’s something about your first round of gear that you get attached to. Once a hole (after 10 years!) appeared I quickly replaced it with another CamelBak, but the upgraded version of what I had before. Highly recommend for day hikes.

Rumpl Blankets and Stuffable Pillowcase
I don’t know about you, but a Rumpl blanket has been on my wishlist for so long. Everyone I know who has one, loves it! But it’s a little too pricey to convince myself to get it, but at 25% off—that might compel the splurge. Large Rumpl blankets are usually around $130 (special editions), so that’s $32 in savings! Time to treat myself. I’ve been eyeing the Grand Canyon National Park one!

Is anyone else obsessed with organizing lately? And finding clever, clean AND stylish ways to organize my camping gear is my new obsession. I love the look and compatibility of the REI Co-op pack-away storage series. I can see myself using this to organize me and my fiance’s sleep system with our tent packing really nicely in the large 140L Pack-Away Bin.

REI Co-op Roadtripper 40 Duffels
I adore my REI Co-op 60 Recycled Duffel and I think I’d love the Roadtripper bag. Although North Face and Patagonia duffles have hype beast enthusiasts in a tizzy, I think the REI Co-op duffels are way more worth the money and just as great as high end brands. When not in use, they pack tightly away, and when in use you can use it’s storage bag as a packing cube. Pretty nifty. The Roadtripper 40 would be the perfect weekender bag for a road trip or a staycation. Normally $45, $30 feels like a steal for this. Also, I like that the print is included in the sale.

All Darn Tough Socks
Made from Merino Wool, slightly cushioned and also super cute? Count me in. The socks have a 4.8/5 customer rating, making this an item I’m thinking of splurging on. Regular $24, you’ll snag a pair for $18 when on sale. Investing in your feet as an avid hiker is always worth it, and these savings (and did I mention how cute they are?) make it worth it to add to my cart.

REI Co-Op Brand Lightweight Base Layers
Winter is around the corner, so might be a good time to invest in base layers for the season. As someone who overheats easily, I like that these are lightweight. . With the base layers shirt costing around $44, you’ll snag it for $28 during this sale. I’ve always been impressed with the REI Co-op brand quality, and I especially love my Co-op down jacket (awesome Patagonia doup, IMO). I’d hope their base layers would be just as great. With winter desert hikes in Joshua Tree and a Sedona trip in December, I’m thinking these base layers would be a perfect addition to my packing list.

All Eureka Stoves, Grills & Griddles
When I upgraded to the mint green Eureka double-burner stove, I never looked back. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but works great. They also have excellent customer service which has made me a loyal customer. On my stove the attachment pipe that connects the propane tank to the stove stopped working (it was leaking propane when connected). I had bought the stove a year prior and thought I could just buy the extra part on their website, but realized they don’t sell it. So, I emailed them asking if I could purchase the part online and explained the malfunction, thinking I must be way out of warranty. They sent me the part for FREE and were responsive to my emails. 10/10 experience. It’s nice to know that Eureka has quality stoves and cares about their customers. The stove I own is regularly $125, but you can get it for around $94 during the sale. Excellent deal.

MSR & Jetboil Stoves, Cookware & Accessories
When I think of the perfect backpacking set up, I think of brands like MSR and Jetboil for the ideal cooking system. Compact and reliable, yet sorta pricey—it’s been hard to convince myself to make the leap on buying, usually relying on a friend’s MSR stove when my large double-burner is over-kill. You can get the full MSR Windburner Stove System for $142 (regular $190) and the Jetboil MiniMo Cooking System for $124 (regular $165).
